MISSION STATEMENT

The National Voice Association (NVA) advocates for teaching, coaching, and training professionals dedicated to the speaking voice. We celebrate the deeply personal nature of voice work and the cultural aspects of embodying language. We uphold equity, diversity, and inclusion as our foundational values.

 

MANDATE

The National Voice Association, an organization of professionals dedicated to the speaking voice

 

HONOURS all cultural vocal traditions in Canada,

 

ADVOCATES for fair remuneration, recognition and professional working conditions for voice/dialect teachers and coaches across the country,

 

PROMOTES and PROTECTS the integrity of the work of the speaking voice professional by embracing the voices in Canada,

 

SUPPORTS and ENCOURAGES the ongoing professional development of the membership through the exchange of research, information and ideas, and through the development of emerging teachers and coaches by way of recognized training and mentorship.
