Paul de Jong

Stratford, Ontario

Paul de Jong is the Co-Head of Coaching at the Stratford Festival where he has served as a voice, text, and dialect coach for 14 seasons. Paul has taught for the School of Performance at Toronto Metropolitan University, the National Theatre School, the Centre for Indigenous Theatre, and for the Theatre Performance program at Humber College where he served three years as Director of the program and six years as its Head of Voice. Selected coaching credits include Sousatzka (Teatro Proscenium); The Great Gatsby (Grand Theatre); Oil and Water (Artistic Fraud); The Syringa Tree (Globe Theatre); A Christmas Carol, A Raisin in the Sun, Sizwe Banzi is Dead, Three Sisters (Soulpepper). Paul received his Masters degree in Voice Studies from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and is a graduate of the Stratford Festival’s Birmingham Conservatory.
